How to Book and Prepare for Your First Visit

What Happens at a Typical First Visit?
Most adult first dental visits include a full oral exam, digital X-rays if you are due, an oral cancer screening, a gum health assessment, and a personalized hygiene review. Before we begin any cleaning or further treatment, we review our findings with you so there are no surprises.
Our modern intraoral cameras let you see exactly what we see on a nearby screen, helping you make informed decisions. Dental check-ups and cleanings usually take about 45 to 60 minutes for most adults. We use digital X-rays and other up-to-date tools to catch cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer as early as possible.
If you prefer to speak in Hindi or Gujarati, your consultation can be conducted in either language.
Children’s First Visits: Gentle and Positive
For children, the first appointment is intentionally brief and focuses on making your child comfortable. We count teeth, check for early signs of decay, and review brushing and diet habits with parents or guardians. We use gentle explanations, positive reinforcement, and keep early visits short to help kids feel safe and confident. No instruments that might seem scary are used with young children at this stage.
For children who experience dental anxiety or need extra support, we offer nitrous oxide and oral sedation, parents are always welcome to stay in the room for added reassurance. We also provide preventive treatments during these visits, such as fluoride varnish and dental sealants, when needed.
Comfort and Communication Are Our Priorities
We focus strongly on your comfort and clear communication. Our goal is for every visit, whether a routine check-up, a child’s first dental visit, or an urgent concern, to feel patient-friendly and understandable. At every exam, we include a painless oral cancer screening, inspecting the mouth, lips, tongue, gums, and throat, and carefully checking the neck and jaw.
If we find anything unusual, we will discuss what we found and clearly outline any recommended next steps.
Insurance, Payment, and Program Support
We are a provider for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB), and we direct-bill all major insurance plans.
If you ever have questions about coverage or payment, just ask our team before your visit or at the front desk. We are happy to help make things as smooth as possible.
No-Obligation Consultations and Flexible Payment Options
We offer no-obligation consultations, so you are free to visit, ask your questions, and explore the options that are best for you or your family, there is no pressure to commit to treatment before you are ready.
For patients who want to spread out the cost of dental care, we offer 0% financing options.
